When a customer says that their fries are cold & that their burger is raw, make it right. Don't tell me after we request to speak to a manager, that you, the person we were told was a manager is "just the person in charge today" not a manager Michelle's words. We came in as a group of about 12, on a friday night they weren't packed but our food took over an hour and a half to arrive.
I am visiting from New Mexico and my friend loves this restaurant. All the food was good. She had never gotten the desserts. We got a blackberry cobble and peach pie to go. The desserts obviously are not a specialty bcuz they tasted stale and very old. She said when she is in again, she will complain. We threw them in the trash they were so awful.
My boyfriend and I came to Black Bear today for a date that is a rare occurrence since we work and never have time off together but it was sadly ruined by our horrible experience. We often go to the Black Bear Diner in Garden city and it's always been amazing but today we were closer to this location and it had even better reviews, but I don't know why because we didn't have a 4.2 star experience. We stopped in there last week for a late lunch. There wasn't many people there and it took extremely too long for a waiter/waitress to come to our table. It took equally long to receive our drinks and then the waiter just walked away without taking our order. I flagged another waitress and she took our order. 25 minutes later our food arrived...COLD. First I have to say I was a big fan of the Bear for breakfast & lunch, had not gone in for dinner. Told all my friends to go for breakfast, loved it. Can't say that anymore the service was horrible, the server was rude and uninterested in the order had to repeat several times what we wanted, like eggs over easy, then he would say how did you want your eggs he also didn't seem to know the menu.
