WOW!!!!! Check this out...are you hungry for some pancakes, bacon or sausage??? Ok what about biscuits and gravy?? Oh don't stop there! Are you hungry? This Black Bear will deliver you delicious, warm, right out of the oven the best food you can imagine!! Sometimes it's just not fun trying to think of what to cook. The food was really good but the hot chocolate was really watery and it took them several times for the hot chocolate to be a little bit good. The biscuits are really tasty and large. The waffles are amazing and everything else was so good. Would go back again.

I've been wanting to try the Black Bear Diner since it opened just a mile from my house, and the evening of the first snowfall of the year seemed like a perfect opportunity. The decor was homey and comfortable with a log cabin feel. The service was friendly, attentive and prompt. The food was tasty, well presented, and generously portioned. The pot pie I ordered was amazing -- something you would imagine coming out of a wood fired oven in a back country cabin. And the prices were very reasonable. Two pleasant surprises... read more

They have mimosas, beers, and premade mixers. They nailed the hollandaise - for real! They make their own omg fresh orange juice every morning (and with the mimosa.... oy, heaven). They have nice sized coffee mugs. They have historical news stories on the front of their menu. They have a published code of conduct on their placemats. They have their own ketchup and pepper sauces. AND, they have a GIFT SHOP. Theres no question that I'll be back. I usually judge a place by the Eggs Benedict... Overall the food is as expected from a diner. We were seated promptly, our order was taken quickly and the food came out quick. Not the worlds best food but I'm not paying for the best either. Steak was slightly overdone but the experience was definitely on par with my expectations. Slick Nick the waiter delivered prompt courteous service. Overall I'd recommend this place and I'll be back.
