In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. We had some guests come in from out of town. For dinner we went to the black bear diner near the movie theater. Oh boy, everyone was full and wallets were not empty. Looking forward to coming back!
The people in here are so sweet. Attentive to details with orders, and babies.... aka they don't reach over a car seat With a pot of hot coffee (thanks!). The food was great, and the prices are on point. Will be back!

We returned to Black Bear this morning to enjoy a hearty breakfast, and we were NOT disappointed! Full plates of fresh food, good coffee as our smiling waitress Carrie Ann serving up exactly what we needed. Even had enough for leftovers! Always courtesy staff, ample servings and great diner food.
