To start, the place just opened a few days ago and service is great. Plenty of servers, cooks, busses and host staff. Open faced Turkey sandwich had really good flavor, the gravy was good and Turkey was tasty. Chicken Fried Steak, being a chain you know it was pre-breaded. So if you want to try it, know going in that's what it is. Now it's not a cheap version and was tasty. The white gravy is not bland like you typically find in restaurants and over all good. We have loved Black Bear ever since my girlfriend took me to her local one in Redding, California. Now that she's my wife, we were very glad to have one locally and we came here on opening night. She had her usual fish and chips, and I had the tuna melt sandwich. Both were very good. Service was fast and friendly, and we enjoyed the scene and atmosphere. We'll be regulars for sure!

I was on Instagram a few months ago and seen an ad about black bear opening and sign up to become an ambassador or something along those lines. They'll send goodies and come dine in on them. I'm like okay, cool. Yeah, right.. Like I'm going to get picked. Well, a month or so later I get messaged on Instagram that I was picked. Then I'm suddenly getting goodies in the mail. We came on a slow Sunday early evening. Service started good, but after order was taken that was it. I ordered the fish and chips. The fries were super salty and the fish was almost none edible. Almost like a mush texture. The onion rings were raw and full of grease. Felt like the fryer may not have been high enough and just soaked in the food. The hype surrounding the opening of this restaurant had us anticipating some good eats and our first experience was good. Amazingly, the food quality went to the other end of the spectrum in a matter of one week. It wasn't even close. I ordered the steak and eggs with hash browns and toast. Arrived at the Resturant at 11:04. Got seated at 11:37 after being told 15-20 minute wait. Took over an hour to get some of our food with it now being 12:45 and still missing some. The issue is the kitchen - not the wait staff. Jasmine was great and kept apologizing. Not a chirp from management. Don't come here unless you have tons of time.

We live out of town and stop by this Black Bear ever two months and this stop this morning was bad. In the last couple months the food quality has gone way down. Menu has changed. Had chicken fried steak and it is now a frozen pre made steak. You can just tell corporate does not care anymore. We were there at 8:30am on Sunday and there has always been a wait list. Not today only 5 tables had people setting. We will never be back. At this pace a quality they will not last unless they change back.
