Went in to pickup a couple of Almond Bear Claws to share with my family. They haven't tried Black Bear yet. Get home cut one open it's Black Berry. I thot ok he gave me one of each. Cut the other one it's the same. I'll be taking them back in this morning May have an update on this.

Went to the Black Bear Diner for dinner. It was early about 5:30. The restaurant wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. The place was clean. The service was decent, not great but she was friendly. The food...It literally had no taste. It was terribly bland. We ordered an assortment of things. The salad had cold lettuce, but they only had bacon ranch dressing which was just a little odd and I live both bacon and ranch. Daughter got the pesto pasta. I got the fish and chips for dinner and not impressed the fish lacked flavor and the fries were ok, Cole slaw had about as much flavor as cardboard. We also got the apple cobbler with ice cream and the cobbler was not heated throughout the dessert and the ice cream was not even melting. For the price of dinner there are much better places to eat in Burleson.

Service was excellent, food was just average. Prices were way too high. Biscuits gravy, hash browns, 2 strips bacon, coffee almost $20 . Maybe the high prices are due to the lettuce leaf and orange slice garnish. Go to Waffle House, food is better for about half price.
