I really wanted to like this place. Lots of "hype" leading up to their opening late last year. It's the middle of March. They should have it right by now. 50 minute wait on a Sunday morning. But that wasn't the issue. We'd heard that the wait was long. Ordered Corned Beef Hash with eggs over-easy and a pancake. My wife ordered the Sausage Scramble with sausage patties. Can't really complain about the service but can the food quality. We had the shrimp & chips and fish & chips with sides of hush puppies (6 each at $1 each) which were closer to good solid musket balls. They could have been used for bear hunting as hard as they were. Cole slaw had little to no sauce and was just chopped cabbage and carrots. My fish was pretty fresh as it felt like it had just come out of the fridge (as it was cool to Luke warm) and the shrimp was overcooked. I ordered via DoorDash to try this place. I've got friends in Dallas who love this chain so thought I would try it. 100% disappointed. I'm born and raised in Texas so I know what good chicken fried steak is, and what we got wasn't it. It's clearly precooked frozen food thrown into a kitchen fryer. It was completely tasteless and the "cream" gravy, was also clearly from a mix and watery. Very cute place. But....Horrible!!! Won't be going back. We went at lunch in a Saturday. They got us right in. It took forever for us to get anyone over to get us drinks. And no it wasn't busy. So then our actual server comes to take our food order. My husband gets the CFS, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. I got eggs, sausage and biscuit. First off my husband said his CFS came from Grandy's. Tasted the exact same. And the rest of his food had no taste. Now my food was horrible. The eggs were rubber and I don't kn... read more
