We got there, had to wait 35 minutes for a table. Got seated, then we were asked if we wanted anything to drink, we said decaf coffee and water. There was no splenda, so had to use mine. Never got the water until much later. We drank half of the coffee when instead of decaf, they refilled it with regular, twice! We had already ordered but it took almost 45 min before we got our food. We almost just paid for the coffee and were ready to walk out when our food was served. Our waiter, Cameron was ok, but I don't think we... read more

Worst service ever. Chocolate malt was runny. Asked for extra dressing for our salads didn't get the extra dressing but I did get moldy lettuce. Cold corn bread muffins. And the wait for our meals was ridicules.

As I was sitting down I noticed a big jam smear on the floor by my feet. I didn't want to step in it so I put my placement over the smear. The waitresses had walked away before I noticed this so I told her when she came back. Absolutely no reaction from her except for "oh." Seriously?! No offer to move us, no apology, nothing! We moved to a different table anyway, by the sun, because we were cold. The same waitress came up to us and greeted us like we had just arrived. Way to pay attention to your customers! The foo... read more

Well, it's been hit and miss at the new BBD in Citrus Heights. The food is usually great & we did have a great waitress once. Most negatives were due to the inattentiveness of the wait staff, not writing down orders correctly, having to be asked multiple times for items. It seems like they need more training & supervision by management. I think we'll try it a fourth time though.

My husband and I went to the Citrus Heights Black Bear on Sunday with my siblings and elderly mom. We had a terrible experience.. it took 45 minutes for them to seat us.. Our waitress Reah was awesome she came right to the table she got our drink orders are food orders, but took 45 minutes or more for our food to come out of the kitchen. Not acceptable. If this had been my first time at a black bear restaurant it would certainly be my last.. my husband and I will never return to the Citrus Heights black bear..Kathy

Its okay, but it certainly does not measure up to the huge build up. Yes, the portions are huge, actually far too big because it goes to waste. Secondly it seriously needs more seasoning. Its very safe food for the masses, but I don't think it's anything special. Seems okay place to stop for breakfast, and the ingredients are fresh and seem to be a fairly good quality. Again, the food lacks seasoning and is rather bland. I was also bothered by the sticky feeling of the tables and seats. For a brand new place, the staff need... read more
