Black Bear Diner has been on my list to try for a very long time!!! My in laws, hubby, and I came here after a long day of hanging out at the pool. We were starving to say the least. I suggested Black Bear Diner... everyone agreed. We walked in, the hostess was very nice and attentive, our waitress was funny and kind! The food was delicious , and Oh my- I am a sucker for cornbread... their cornbread was the best I've ever tried. From a food junkie to another- stop by! You won't regret it.

Excellent service this morning from the staff at Black Bear Diner in Cypress! Food was hot, fresh and came out very quick! Marvin was our server and he was awesome, very attentive and nice! Thank you!

Looking for a way to pass the time rather than continuing to wait for my car at a repair center, I decided to checkout the Black Bear Diner on 290 near 1960. The diner was a great place! A rustic atmosphere with the theme being of course, black bears! They have quite an extensive breakfast, lunch, & dinner menu. Breakfast sounded good, so I ordered up. Black bear diner is definitely an upscale of what Denny's used to be. Their portions are huge and quality of food is great. However, I still give black bear diner best breakfast for a Chain restaurant award. I ordered their Denver omelet with potatoes. I ate sometime during the early afternoon and was the only thing that I can eat all day. It was so filling and tasty.. hard to stop once you've started. Be prepared to be in food coma for a while after eating at black bear' s.. it never fails.

I will admit my expectations for this restaurant were not high at all but I was pleasantly surprised !! We were seated 10 minutes sooner than promised and our orders were placed and filled quickly. The cinnamon roll French toast and hot sausage patty were delicious !! Thank you Rachel for an unexpected experience!!!!

Service leads the way with Five stars for Tiara and Andrea. Tiara made sure that our coffee cups were filled and our orders were perfect. It was a perfect meal. We went on Monday after the lunch rush and had a leisurely lunch. Portions are large and brought enough meat loaf home for another meal. I love the corn bread and biscuits are humongous!

Fast service, even on a busy morning. Kathryn, my sever, was excellent. She was very nice and she brought a smile to my face with her happy mood. Big serving sizes here!

Man do I love diners. The seating by the grill. The smell they all have of the flattop and butter. Reminds me a lot of a place I had where I grew up at the melon valley inn. So they have a staffing issue. The debate on who's fault that is is different on who you ask. I will say everyone who is working here is working hard and had a smile on their faces.
