Love the food and service. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The coffee is always way too strong no matter which BB diner I go to. The only thing I always see is there are never enough BUSBOYS!! Tables are ready to be cleaned and everyone is here just waiting longer to be seated so the front gets very busy! Hire BUSBOYS!!! Their job would only be to clean and wipe down tables!! Get on it management.
I'm fairly new to the area , and today was my first time trying Black Bear Diner. I had a wonderful server named " Derri " take me and my family's order and although she mentioned she was still in training, I noticed her amazing customer service skills. she greeted us with a smile and she repeated our order back to us the correct way. I will be visiting again soon and I hope to get Ms.Derri as my server.

This was our second time at Black Bear Diner in Cypress, TX and again they were great. Waitress May Rubio was very attentive and food was great (and plentiful) with no wait to be seated. I highly recommend the BBD!
I think I have found my ultimate favorite pancake spot! There's no other words to describe their pancakes other than "fluffy goodness!" French toast is pretty good too, but I'm a pancake kinda gal! Service is a hit or miss here, so don't expect anything stellar! I've had spectacular visits to not so great experiences, but that all cancels out with a short stack of the fluffy goodness I tell ya! Prime rib was not sent out as we both ordered.. wait staff was not as good throughout the meal
Black Bear Diner is great. Lisa Baker is our regular and favorite of the wait staff. She is always polite, on top of our orders, and very attentive.
I can't recall the name of the this burger, but it was worth every calorie. I typically don't like burgers, but anytime I crave one black bear diner is the place. I drive over 30 minutes to get this! Such a juicy homemade toast , you cannot resist!!!
My favorite place for breakfast... the hobo omelette is the absolute best. And Ms. Rubio is the absolute best!!
