Service was horrible at this location and unacceptable! It took way too long to be greeted and served.

So disappointed! We went back for the AYCE fried fish thinking we wouldn't be treated unfairly again... but we were wrong. We had four AYCE orders, and only three of us even got to ask for more fish the second time. Right after that, we were told the restaurant ran out of fish and we wouldn't be able to order any more. Can someone explain this BS? If you can't honor AYCE, then don't offer it to customers in the first place!

We went on Sunday me and my family and literally took us two hours for our food to come, and the pancakes were spoiled and the food was horrible. I cannot believe they served pancakes that were not good.

Let me start by saying we've eaten in BBD in California as well as in Las Vegas both for breakfasts and I must say both were excellent in service as well as food. So my expectations were high when I found we had one here in cypress. This is a hard one to write. Previously I would have given them 5 stars, but the last three times I've gone it left a bad taste in my mouth. And not just mine, but my dining companions as well. The service was extremely slow and the food was consistently cold! And the general ambiance of the whole restaurant was annoyance. Black Bear use to be my favorite close place to go for chicken fried steak, but their service AND kitchen have gone downhill so bad they've had their three strikes so I'm out and won't return.

If you want to hear people arguing and leaving you to deal with your hunger and thirst, then you'll be in good company here. I've usually frequented the Sugar Land BBD. I didnt think there would be a big difference in experience. FAFO-I was wrong! First off, it was not very busy, but the waitress we had was very slowful in returning back to the table. We have been looking for a go to breakfast place in Lakewood Forest area of Houston, Northwest Houston area. Waffle House, Dennys, IHOP, not what we are looking for. A mom and pop place that still has real customer service and good basic food. No fancy omelettes, just good old fashion breakfast mom used to make. This is my first and last visit. Yep one and done. Service horrible, no one had hair nets on. I watched a young man sneeze wipes his face did not wash his hands and picked up a plate of food to take to a table. Lots of sanitary concerns.
