I was working from home and decided to be a lazy and order breakfast and lunch from Black Bear Diner. I placed my order online early on a Tuesday morning, a time when the place wasn't crowded so I wait it would be ready in 15 to 20 mins, and found the entire experience smooth and efficient. For breakfast, I ordered Joe's Hobo Omelette omelette (link sausage & thick-cut smoked bacon, jack cheese, cheddar cheese, spinach & onion) which was perfectly cooked. Hostess is always welcoming. She does both cashier and seating so sometimes there is a wait but we don't mind, it's hard having 2 assigned tasks for a single person and she does amazing. Food is always good and fresh. Huge portions for great prices. Love the cozy cabin type of feel. Our waitresses have always been attentive even if it's packed. Overall a great experience in the 3x that we've gone
I wasn't disappointed at all. In fact, I've never been here, it was my first time coming to eat here as per my step dad's request for Father's Day. I immediately fell in love with the diner. I felt like I was in a log cabin. Like I was literally taken to a whole other place. The food portions are big and hearty. This place is interesting in a fun way. I ordered a salmon meal, but I forgot the specific name. The waiter mentioned that the meal only comes with a specific side, which I believe was a salad. I was totally fine with that since I was going to order it anyway. However, I couldn't help but chuckle because she made it seem like changing the side was impossible. Give this place a chance; it's fun, just don't have super high expectations. The atmosphere is like mountain vibes, kinda like big bear.
First time diner here. What a great and delicious experience. The food was fresh, non-greasy, not overly salty, just delicious and fresh. Came for Breakfast and everything was delicious! The hash browns are crispy and flavorful, the pancakes are so good! The biscuits are huge, I made the mistake of ordering two. The service was outstanding. Came early in the morning so it was not too crowded! The ambiance is homely and feels very comfortable! Will definitely come back!

Service here is GREAT! I was craving a homestyle breakfast today and decided to try this place for the first time. I had a bunch of questions and the young man who helped me was incredibly helpful and made great suggestions. He even knew what all the dishes consisted of which helped me decide. I ended up with the waffle and bacon. The bacon was crispy and perfect! The decor is super cute too! Definitely will be back
