I wasn't disappointed at all. In fact, I've never been here, it was my first time coming to eat here as per my step dad's request for Father's Day. I immediately fell in love with the diner. I felt like I was in a log cabin. Like I was literally taken to a whole other place. The food portions are big and hearty. This place is interesting in a fun way. I ordered a salmon meal, but I forgot the specific name. The waiter mentioned that the meal only comes with a specific side, which I believe was a salad. I was totally fine with that since I was going to order it anyway. However, I couldn't help but chuckle because she made it seem like changing the side was impossible. Give this place a chance; it's fun, just don't have super high expectations. The atmosphere is like mountain vibes, kinda like big bear.
First time diner here. What a great and delicious experience. The food was fresh, non-greasy, not overly salty, just delicious and fresh. Came for Breakfast and everything was delicious! The hash browns are crispy and flavorful, the pancakes are so good! The biscuits are huge, I made the mistake of ordering two. The service was outstanding. Came early in the morning so it was not too crowded! The ambiance is homely and feels very comfortable! Will definitely come back!

Service here is GREAT! I was craving a homestyle breakfast today and decided to try this place for the first time. I had a bunch of questions and the young man who helped me was incredibly helpful and made great suggestions. He even knew what all the dishes consisted of which helped me decide. I ended up with the waffle and bacon. The bacon was crispy and perfect! The decor is super cute too! Definitely will be back
The food here is really good. I like the basic (eggs, bacon, toast) type deal. I like the country type setting of the place. I feel the service is always great, the biscuits are dry as hell though lol. But the foods always a 10 here in my opinion.
What is not to love about Black Bear Dinner? I love their humongous breakfasts. Their lunch menu is also not bad.
Second time in. Michael not only remembered us, he made excellent recommendations and provided amazing service! We will definitely return.
