If you are looking for a home style meal, this is your place! Breakfast is amazing and the portions are very generous! Service by Mike is always above and beyond and with a smile! The ambiance is very homey and great scenery! I would recommend this place for a nice sit down meal with the family!
My family eats here quite often. This week, we had the absolute pleasure of having Mike as our server. He was amazing! My sons love having breakfast for dinner, and I cannot get over how delicious their cheeseburger salad is! Great environment, great food, awesome service (Thank you, Mike)...what more can you ask for??

Not a normal Thanksgiving so we decided on this black bear. A little busy. The hostess was very nice and patients. We were seated in good time and waitress was prompt. We ordered regular menu items except my son in law who got the turkey dinner. Very clean and comfortable Wait staff very friendly and attentive. I came to eat breakfast with my gf today 12/15/2023 at the black bear diner in Downey CA And Maggie did amazing by taking our order, she was very patient and she kept checking on us to see if we needed anything else after our food was served. Her customer service was 100% amazing, thank you once again Maggie
Me and my girl had breakfast here last weekend with collegues and friends. I love the Bear Claw Burger and fries plate. Everyone else had pancakes and omelettes here too. Menu choices are great and huge. Come hungry with an appetite here. Great food and service. Coffee is good here too. Always a pleasure to come to Black Bear Diner.

5 Star to my Dearest Michael S.!! First time trying this place but Michael made it such a great experience that we will most definitely come back! Only met him once & he went above & beyond for his costumers! He deserves a raise for making it feel like home!
