This was by far our most disappointing visit to black bear. We usually enjoy coming for a family meal, but this visit had a lot of issues. We ordered the bears choice breakfast, and the prime rib dinner. For the bear's choice breakfast. I chose to get the biscuits and gravy and it was not very good for one thing. The biscuits seemed to be over baked and they were really hard, and there was not much gravy that came with the meal. I took my family to Black Bear Diner on New Year's Day, which--according to my calculations--was already a risky operation due to people. The place was packed. We queued. We waited. I ordered the Grizz with a side of mac & cheese when I received the mac & cheese it tasted so cold, like ice cream. The noodles were hard and the cheese was coagulated. I asked the waiter to please give me a different one which they did and the temperature was better but the taste was not I ended up throwing this away. I also had the country potatoes. These were disastrous on my taste buds. I asked for a different side, which was hash brown and it also was not great. The food is subpar, but at least my waiter was very kind.

If I could give 0 stars I would Normally I have their food it is good quality.Came for brunch. My sister had breakfast the bacon and eggs was brunt and I ordered homemade chili's. First they didn't bring out the cornbread. It took my waitress 10 minutes to tell me they don't have any cornbread. No apologies. She never came back to ask if we needed anything nor if we needed refills. They are under staff. I will never go back here. I will drive all the way to La Habra before I come back here. Terrible customer service

Went to black bear diner and was served by Nadia V, and I did not like my experience with her. She had a total attitude, and it ruined the meal for me! Staff should learn to be friendlier, as every time I go to this location, I end up disappointed. Most of the servers I have met here are also like this, with an attitude, and that needs to improve for the better. 0/10 would not recommend!

Horrible service! Food sits for a while after being cooked and it's then served cold and it's not even busy. Overall quality of food is not that great especially after being served cold

All these empty tables and still got wait to be seated 10 minutes? Absolutely unacceptable and its 11:25 Monday morning!! Now it 15 minutes to wait!!! I just counted how many empty tables 20 ouch!! And they still have you wait !!!!! Its only my son and I. Pathetic!!! I see only 2 servers and a male host!! Where's the manager to help out?

The table was not clean well and underneath the table was worse. I think the folks that had the table before, eta underneath the table. The floor was littered with used napkins and smashed food. The hobo omelette was not very good and the pancake was cold. The potatoes had a funky seasoning. The best part was the drinking cup that had lipstick on the rim. Been waiting for 25 minutes and no one has asked to take our order lol and they want 20 an hour and they can even do their job right. Last time coming here.
