Ordered pancakes and usually they are sweet amd soft but not this time. Scrambled eggs were over cooked. My sister's eggs were under cooked and biscuits were hard. I know it was Sat and they were busy but food has to be cooked right. Service was good but food wasn't.
Typically, I have had good experiences at Black Bear but this time it wasn't so great. When I arrived, there wasn't a wait & I told the waitress/hostess that I'd be ordering to go and that I'd grab myself a menu since she was busy at a table. I would like to start off saying that, my husband loves this place. We go here once in awhile and the service has always been great. But the service I received today was just unacceptable! I took my friend and her two kids to lunch today, we haven't seen each other in about 3 months. As we were eating she asked me if we would be able to get a booth so she could breast feed. Waited 15 minutes for a waiter to ask about our drinks. Brought me the wrong drink. Waited 25 minutes for food to come to the table. I asked for a chicken Ceaser Salad at the end of my meal to go. No service between food delivery and wanted my salad to go. Go says Salad? You ordered a Salad. I said yes to go. He said since I've been a lousy waiter the Salad is free. Did not like it at all. Bacon was real salty. Pancakes were hella dry
Bad service, gross food & overpriced! Never eat there again & caution others not to eat there! NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!
I might have enjoyed the food if my pregnant daughter and I weren't threatened by an employee
Had a nice family dinner an early birthday. Should have went with my favorite choice here and went with the meatloaf. Instead I had the ham steak breakfast which was disappointing. Ok but not quite up to expectation. Service was good and no one in the party had any major complaints. Two of my granddaughters loved the Mac n cheese and the third made a pleasant mess with the chocolate chip pancakes. Overall a nice experience.
