I want to give a shout out to Rosario, Fanny, and Eric! Three top-notch servers at Black Bear! They really strive to make your meal is prepared right and they are very attentive. I never have to worry about my order being wrong whenever they are working. We need more servers like them!

Due to an early morning meeting last Wednesday I arrived here at 10:35 for a late breakfast . Food was pretty good but wow i ordered a simple western omelet , it took at least 30 minutes if not a little longer for it to be delivered to my table . It was not crowded either . Not sure why it took so long but I asked the server to please check on the order . Food was pretty good but i find that too slow for an omelet !

Excellent place. I recommend the waffles. The service was great and there not to many people during the week.

They have high potential, but it took forever to get our food and the restaurant was maybe 20% occupied. Ambience was not very good while we were there - a couple was having loud FaceTime calls and then watched videos together that the rest of the restaurant guests got to listen to as well. Situation could have been managed but staff didn't seem to care. All the guests were irritated though.

Walked over from our hotel. Service is so great. Food is good ole home style cooking , salad was so very fresh n crisp. I ordered the tri strip steak. Was good, baked loaded potatoe was incredible, best green beans ever. Husband had chicken fried steak which I took a few bites from was beyond great tasting. Best part was coconut pie we took to go. So so so good!!

Stopped in for breakfast and was seated after about 5 minutes of waiting for someone to come greet us. We were seated way in the back of the large dining room, away from basically everyone, which was fine. Our server took our order quickly but the food took a very long time to come out. For a basic diner, this seemed surprising/disappointing. Usually this type of food is super fast, even when the place is packed. They were busy but still less than 75% capacity. I ordered the breakfast burrito and added a side of wheat toas... read more

The great: large portions, breakfast all day and yummy options. We had the famous "The Grizz" plate and meat lover omelette. The grizz is packed with eggs, bacon sausage, ham, hash and pancakes! And an extremely large biscuit! Make sure you bring your appetite! The good: the meat lover omelette came with a side of delicious red potatoes. These were worth the hype. The bad: don't recommend going on a Sunday. Crazy busy and loud. But overall this California original restaurant is worth trying.
