Service is usually very friendly and quick. It's a cozy place that has a nostalgic and friendly feel, the decor is so cozy and the pancakes and waffles are so delicious!

Stopped in for breakfast and was seated after about 5 minutes of waiting for someone to come greet us. We were seated way in the back of the large dining room, away from basically everyone, which was fine. Our server took our order quickly but the food took a very long time to come out. For a basic diner, this seemed surprising/disappointing. Usually this type of food is super fast, even when the place is packed. They were busy but still less than 75% capacity. I ordered the breakfast burrito and added a side of wheat toas... read more

The great: large portions, breakfast all day and yummy options. We had the famous "The Grizz" plate and meat lover omelette. The grizz is packed with eggs, bacon sausage, ham, hash and pancakes! And an extremely large biscuit! Make sure you bring your appetite! The good: the meat lover omelette came with a side of delicious red potatoes. These were worth the hype. The bad: don't recommend going on a Sunday. Crazy busy and loud. But overall this California original restaurant is worth trying.

Amazing service. Our waitress was so sweet she was on top our drinks and always if we needed anything else. The manager came to our table and asked how we were doing. It was wonderful. My fiancé and son enjoyed the jut box music 3 tunes for $1. The menus are like newspapers it was the coolest things.

It's Mother's Day and every restaurant we tried had long wait lines. Decided to try Black Bear, wait was only 20 minutes. Once we were seated, our waiter Isaiah was friendly, polite and handled our orders with ease. In spite of the crowd, he came by our table several times asking if food was to our satisfaction. We all enjoyed our meals. Looking forward to our next visit.

Food was delicious, servings are huge, server was on top of everything, from napkins to cream for the coffee. We did breakfast for lunch and it did not disappoint. Their menu is quite extensive and the prices are very reasonable in this day and age. Highly recommend but maybe not early for breakfast as I can see why the restaurant gets packed. The food is available all day!!
