The first 2 times i went, was a great experience. The last time was horrible. The food wasn't good and the staff was rude. Will never go back.
Experience: I was extremely excited to try Black Bear. As a bar manager in the industry I had heard great things about Black Bear and wanted to jump on the opportunity to visit when they came into the metroplex. We decided to wait a few months, as they seemed busy initially. We arrived 12:05 and were quoted a 30 minute wait at the host stand. It was 59 minutes later at 1:04 when we were alerted that our table was ready, however as someone in the industry I wasn't upset because from the lobby it seemed busy due to the amou... read more
Absolutely terrible service. Arrived at 9am and our table of 14 was seated at approximately 9:30am, which was reasonable. However, we waited 1.5 hours for our food!!! Additionally, the women's restroom has an over flooded toilet with water all over the floor and no one in the restaurant bothered to clean it.
We arrived at 9am and the place was empty. It took 2 hours to get our food. Several tables received their food before us that were sat after us. Server focused on one table that looked like it could be her family. Bathrooms were disgusting.
I had high expectations for this new restaurant, hoping it would be a good alternative to Cracker Barrel. Cracker Barrel has nothing to worry about. I've given them three tries now thinking things would improve over time. The food, while large in portion size, is sub-par in quality and employees seem more interested in socializing with each other than working. This last visit we ordered a burger and the mac and cheese for our granddaughter. The Mac and cheese looked like Kraft blue box with some cheese thrown on top. We comp... read more
Corned beef hash on the menu shows 'made to order" I ordered, requesting onions be added to the grill when they grilled the potatoes. They were brought with fresh onion added on top. Sent them back. They were brought back with onion warm but still crunchy, and rest of food cooling down fast. I sent them back to kitchen a 3rd time to sauté more and heat everything up. Finally!!
Horrible service. The hostess was rude, our server hardly passed by. We had to ask different employees to get additional items for us. Food was ok, served Luke warm though. Don't plan on coming back.
I took my daughter for her birthday. The food came quickly but it was cold and she didn't get the whipped cream and powdered sugar that the menu promised. I advised the staff but no one cared.
