The food was pretty good. Had the volcano. Very large portions. The hash brown/potatoes came so crispy it was almost like the chip toppings you buy for garnish. The service is really where they lacked. I'm not sure if something happened but almost the whole staff kept going to the back to talk. Loud enough I could hear their profanity over my eggs. I had to ask a different waitress for a refill bc my waitress was too busy gossiping in the back.

Our server was just doing side work while the food sat under the warmer. There weren't very many people there yet waited over 45 minutes for food. Had to ask if the food was coming. The scrambled eggs tasted watery. Normally black bear gets their scrambled eggs, right.

There are cute things to shop for while you wait for a table. But, we went there to eat. The service was good. But, everything we ordered was so bland. No seasoning on anything. The biscuits were just giant, hard, non-yeast cafeteria rolls. I don't understand how that's Ok to serve to anyone, but there are pictures everywhere. I will definitely be going across to the other side of 151 next time I need breakfast.

So, let's start by saying this restaurant was recommended. The atmosphere was nice, nice music friendly staff our waiter was very hospitable. We received our salads fairly quickly and then literally not 2 mins later our meal came out just as quick we didn't even finish our salads. Ok...No worries. Here is the reason for the 2 stars, I ordered BBQ Ribs and chicken strips. Have you ever had ribs where you had to use a knife to cut the meat off the bone?!? and it tasted chewy and fatty 3/4 the way done. Well, I could onl... read more

First, our food was delicious. I ordered a Bear's Choice breakfast with a sweet cream waffle, scrambled eggs, and two sausage links. My husband ordered a breakfast club sandwich with country potatoes. Our service was questionable. Our waitress ignored us majority of the time and did not offer to give us refills for our sweet teas. The food took 30 minutes to come out and it was ridiculous. The cooks all had facial hair and were not wearing beard nets. A customer behind us mentioned they found multiple hairs in their food. So... read more

Waited for 1 hour for a table because of Labor Day. Waitress brought drinks then took our order. We received our food after a reasonable wait, however waitress did not stop by our table to check on us nor to give us refills. She did spend time at an adjacent table talking to patrons. Veggie omelette was good, biscuits were huge, gravy was OK but nothing was worth the wait nor the inattention from waitress. Disappointed PLUS we were told we didn't qualify for the free breakfast offer I received. Oh well-- ciao bear!

The food was absolutely disgusting, I ordered the classic Benedict, and received a snot Benedict. I was okay with the 45 minute wait to get my Togo order, but when I got home and saw what was waiting, I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.
