It takes a lot to get my frustrated enough to write a negative review. But this Orem black bear diner is Well deserving of this.. I have called in an order 4 times, 3 of which have been messed up. Today, I called in a plain cheeseburger and an omelet with pancake. I was told it would be half an hour. I come in and get my food to find that the cheeseburger isn't plain. Waited 20 minutes to be seated only to be ignored once we were seated. We left not having one waiter talk to us after 10 minutes. It was not busy so there was no good reason for them to not talk to us. As we were leaving, they were nice enough to tell us to have a nice day! Having no service and leaving is not a nice day. What a joke!
A 25 minute wait for a table at 9pm???? The kicker was there were only 6 tables that had people at them, at least a dozen empty tables, and near as I can tell 4 servers with NOTHING to do. While we waited 35 minutes to be seated you lost out on 6 patrons because they got tired of the wait and left. I thought that would make our 25 minute wait less but it actually lengthened it. This was one pretty terrible experience and we really wanted to love it. The presentation of the restaurant is cute and the portion sizes are great. But my MIL's entree was so salty it was inedible. My husband got country fried steak and by the time we got to the cash register he was very ill and spent the night in the bathroom. :( And to top it off, the reason for the dinner was that my two kids have birthdays on the same day and we were celebrating.
