The Black Bear Diner in Terra Linda is a friendly, warm neighborhood spot. The food never disappoints--it's consistently great! The service is tops. Whoever does the hiring of staff is worth their weight in gold. If your server is Gera, you know that you're in super-good hands. He's outstanding in every way--a real gem of a server. You can't go wrong by having a meal at the Black Bear Diner.

It's a very comfortable place to have a meal. The food is really good but "frosting on the cake" is the servers and support staff! Deborah, Franklin, and some others, have been at this for a long time and it shows. They are wonderful... true professionals! Buddy is new at waiting tables but already it's clear that he cares about his customers, and will go way beyond "the extra mile" to make sure they are having a great experience at Black Bear diner. Thank you so much to everyone!

We're back in CA and this is our favorite "go to" place for lunch. Today, the restaurant manager, Gera, went above & beyond and gave our dead car battery a jump in the parking lot. The customer service here is always friendly and efficient. The food quality is consistently good with reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

Came here this morning for breakfast, and was greeted by an amazing kind woman. She sat our large party in a great area, and took our order quickly. The inside of the restaurant is super cute, and each decoration is perfectly curated to fit the theme of the Diner. We ordered a couple of different plates, and they were all phenomenal. I ordered Pancakes, Bacon, Potatoes, coffee and they were all super delicious, specifically the potatoes though. I would definitely recommend coming here, thank you for having us!

Had a great experience at Black Bear Diner with my family. First time there after driving past it for years. It's super cute inside with witty "Bear-isms" decorating the diner. Great food. Excellent service. Comfy booths. We will definitely go back.

Ive been coming to back bear diner for years now, just decided i should write a review. The best park about this place is the people who work there. the food is fantastic as well but the real reason to come is to meet the staff. Maria, Ruben, Sonia, Judy, Roberto, Kathleen. The guys in the kitchen even. I love this place and you will too

Place was great. There was a service error where the waiter gave the receipt to me too soon without adding other order from another waitress. That being said, the owner of the restaurant was there and I'm sure lessoned learned. I helped correct the error. The customer service was decent. Otherwise, the place was great. This isn't my first visit so I understood. I love their food, they make it pretty fast and the quality looks pretty good. I love their pies especially. What a colorful cast of characters at Christmas dinner! I had chicken fried steak, my kid had a burger on grilled Parmesan sourdough with onion rings, and my husband had a lovely Denver omelette with perfectly crispy hash browns and a biscuit I heard complaints that 1) four onion rings isn't satisfying; and 2) it wasn't a biscuit so much as it was an overlarge slab of dry bread. But the waiters were sweet and the coffee was good and they were open on Christmas!
