RecommendedBlack Bear not only serves great food, but lots of it. What I also appreciate, though, are their "A Little Bit Less" plates for smaller appetites. And their pumpkin pie filling is the best I've ever had!

Thank you so much, Jonny, and the wonderful, kind, staff that helped with my son's birthday party on Sunday night. Not only were you all so great, you had our tables, for 13 people, ready immediately (no reservation), our order was accurate, our service was fantastic and you were so patient and helpful to us and our group of young boys. Thank you also for making it extra special with ice cream and a visit by Biscuit the Bear. Thank you again. We were so impressed with everything.

We went there for the first time yesterday and we both really enjoyed it very much. Our server was very attentive and had a great personality. The food was delicious esp the Juevos Rancheros, and i didnt see anything on the menu about egg substitution—i asked him and I just do not eat the egg yolk which was no problem. It was a little spicy-but really good. The only thing was the coffee was not hot enough so we had the server heat it up a few times. Good local California restaurant serving nice size portions and old school meals. The sweet pancakes are big and sweet and creamy...don't even have to add syrup, though does make it better. The hamburgers are pretty juicy and nice sweet potato fries. Coconut cream pie is the perfect size and even if you like to share there is definitely some there for that.
The portions seem large. The food is very good. The service is attentive. Nobody leaves hungry. Worthy!
Black Bear is a great place good food at a fair price. Patty and I are making some great memories at this place. I’ll say this with all due respect. The coffee is not so good. Other then that Patty and I love this place.
