Here I am updating my review I didn't want to go back but my husband said let's just try one more time. Karen is a truly amazing waitress, she truly goes above and beyond she smiles and she's very sweet friendly and good at her job and the food was amazing I'm happy I came in tonight. Thanks again Karen for being such an amazing person the world needs more people like you. Great job

While visiting the amazing Marin County Civic Center we needed a place for lunch. Black Bear Diner looked intriguing. What a great place. Warm, friendly, fun decor and great food. The onion rings were some of the best we've had, and the Gobbler sandwich was delish. Our friend Allan loved his "burger salad", even though it wasn't what he thought it was. We tipped it off with one of their coconut creme pies, the pie was delicious, the whipped topping a disappointment. Would I stop here, or at another. Deffo!

This is one of my absolute fav breakfast spots. The staff is always nice and attentive. And the food is amazing. My favorites are the biscuits and gravy and the pancakes. They also have really great bacon that is almost always cooked perfectly! The service is fast and the prices are good. I definitely recommend

Wasn't bad actually. Prob better for breakfast. Worth a try but have a feeling breakfast is much better. Dinner was decent but nothing outstanding.

I just have to say 1 word this place is awesome. Every Friday I eat here with my friend we greeted by Sean aka Brooklyn I am from NY so talking with him is fun. He is professional and also takes great care of all his customers best manager ever. then our waitress Luz who is like no other always smiling and knows her job she is just the best, than theres Andrew who is a pleasure Kudos for having the these wonderful people working in your establishment.

The amount of food they serve is huge. I like their price and they really cook it well for you. Especially their steaks. If you're also into shakes like Oreos, might as well get it! I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

I received a coupon for a free Birthday breakfast at Black Bear Diner in San Rafael. I absolutely loved everything about this beautiful restaurant! The food is fresh and delicious (and very ample) :) From the welcome from General Manager named Shaune (very nice and made us feel like we were at an old friend's home). it good food but they take long to bring the food and the food comes cold and they take long to ask of u are ready but the people are rlly nice
