Sitting at the bar was a nightmare! Only one other person at the counter. When we sat down the waitresses said hi and that she would be right back to get our drink order. 15 min later the waitress finally showed back up and took our order. While sitting at the bar we had to listen to the waitress yell at the chefs who were working hard to keep up. We realize this location is new to Santa Maria, but the service was extremely slow. Soup was not ready when salads came out and we had to ask for them when the meal came. Meals did not come out at the same time. You should allow split tickets per table. To have to do it at the register after the meal is not efficient use of customer's or employee's time.

Was there for your grand opening week, loved it. Went there on Thursday and one of the worst dinning experience s ever. Sat waiting for the server for 15 min, ordered a 10 oz steak med rare, came out well, mashed potatoes were cold, vegetables were tasteless- no seasoning, brussels sprouts and carrots were under cooked. I waited a few weeks to see if my perception about my dining experience will change but is still the same. This is my first ever negative review for a restaurant: My family and I decided to try your place and I am sorry to say that we had the worst dining experience ever. It took a long time to get our food. We never received our order! Waitress took order correctly but manager (Erica) cleared it off the computer screen before it was completed. We were seated at the counter and had clear view of screen. We asked the waitress about the order and she confirmed it had not been completed. The manager was preoccupied and inattentive by acquaintances who had come in! The manger was completely unaware of what took place!!!

This isn't so much about how my wife and I were treated directly as much as showing us how we'd be treated if we had a bad experience. The table next to us waited 50 minutes for their food, then once it came it was under/over cooked. How did management handle it? By charging them for their drinks. Really? Charged them for their beverages? We were flabbergasted by the way that the manager handled it, (When we spoke to the unhappy customers they said they would not be back). The strip hash browns were rubbery and chewy. I order my eggs over well. They came out with the yolk broken and runny all over the plate. I have stopped in to Black Bear restaurants in northern Cali and I usually get a real good meal. I know this one is about a month old and some of my friends have commented 50/50 on the likes and dislikes on this restaurant.
