Our new favor diner for us! Menu has all the great item's like a diner! We got breakfast is was good! Pancakes were really good, big portions, coffee is good to! There home potatoes are nice crispy. Our server was good she was busy! Love the decor it reminds me of being in the woods. Like big bear, mammoth, Yosemite. We will back to try lunch and dinner!
Cece is the sweetest server! Its hard to find good service but Cece made my breakfast experience wonderful. Super attentive and genuine. Love how she loves her work! Will be back again!
Had been driving by this place for a long time, so was excited to finally get to dine here. My overall experience here was ok. The service was so so and the food was fine, but I was expecting more because of the ratings and popularity. We came on a Sunday morning, and we were sat pretty quickly so that was great. Great place to have breakfast or lunch and catch up with friends ! Food is good and service is very nice. Definitely recommend this place.
Cece is our favorite waitress at this black bear diner... She is always super friendly, fast, as can be, and adds to the overall experience. This is become our go to breakfast spot in the West Valley. If every server was like Cece, restaurants would be flourishing everywhere.
Came in for there breakfast special..told sold out till Friday...very unhappy..switch and bait...won't back..

What a sad experience. Sunday night dinner. All was going great until people started coming in for dinner. The one guy working front of house was quickly swamped and the result was that everyone got inferior service. The food was plentiful, well prepared and hot. But the service went from good to completely inadequate. I know that I wasn't the only one who noticed. The customers were sabotaged by the owner who didn't adequately staff to maintain reasonable standards. The result... unhappy customers who probably won't return.

I was expecting a much better experience, as I've visited other locations in the past and always had a great time. Unfortunately, this visit fell short from the start. When we asked if we could sit at a booth, the waiter responded rudely, saying we could sit anywhere we wanted but that she would not be serving us. I understand it is a holiday night, but what happened tonight was crazy! We wanted to go to Black Bear diner for dinner on Christmas night. We showed up at 6:30pm. We had a short wait, no problem. As we were going to our seats, we noticed that people were eating not just the advertised holiday dinners (turkey, ham or prime rib). We sat down and the server came to our table.
