Such an interesting experience here. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito. The first one came out with mostly jalapeño peppers in it even though that wasn't listed in the description of it. Then the second one came out with no potatoes and refried beans in it... refried beans was not in the description either. Just very odd. My meal came with country potatoes. We received the worst service here today. We were sat down at our table and our server took care of a table that was sat after us before we even got our drinks. We had two workers ask us about drinks before our server did. Our server (Trinity) didn't even introduce herself. She didn't take our order until we were waiting for over an hour. If I could give a zero I would. Our food was NOT edible. We ordered the turkey dinner to split. My husband and I are older, small and eat very small portions. The turkey dinner is about $4.00 more than the hot turkey sandwich. Which we've had before and it was plenty for the two of us. First time at a Black Bear Diner and was very disappointed with the service. Our waitress didn't greet us, just asked us what we wanted after being sat for 10 minutes. It then took her 10 minutes to bring two ice waters. She just set them on the table and walked away. Jess was not attentive to our needs and was not very welcoming nor kind. Awful service- very disappointed.

First time I've been here. WHY is this a chain? Very expensive very mediocre food. I could make it better for sure. Won't be back. Sorry.
Came here today for Valentines, they had a Valentines special for 2 people. Ribeye, 12 Scampi, mashed potatoes, seasoned vegetables, soup or salad and a dessert to share (chocolate cherry pie or strawberry shortcake). Granted it was super busy and we went in late because we knew it would be busy. Service was SLOW! Took 15-20 minutes for drink orders. I've been there about six times. The food and service are just fabulous. Today I took home a coconut cream pie to eat later. Whatever they use for whip cream is just nasty. The coconut crust and filling were terrible also. So disappointed as I wanted a dessert later. I sincerely hope they change whatever they're using for the whip cream so It could at least be edible. Also, a different crust please!
I had been to the Black Bear restaurant in Saint George, it was a very good and satisfying experience. Sunday September 29 while coming back from Moab, we decide to stop at the location near Washington Parkway. I like to give credit where it is due, so the waitress was pleasant and efficient, we did tip her as we would normally. The best thing about Black Bear Diner is that their portion sizes are insane! They'll feed you enough for 3 days. This place can be a really great choice when you need to carbo load or just satisfy some serious hunger. Honestly it's pretty great. That being said, this was not a good visit for me.
