I have been to the Black Bear Diner twice for dinner with my husband and son and twice for breakfast with a group. The food had always been good and the service acceptable. I've tried to eat there a couple other times and have ended up leaving due to the long wait or being ignored by the hostesses. Last night was the final straw, and we will not be back. Well to start off we entered the building confused wether to seat ourselves or not. someone finally came over after several minutes to seat us then we didn't see our waitress for at least ten minutes. she took our drink orders and disappeared for another ten minutes came with our drinks. my husbands soda was flat she took our order then we waited for like 45 minutes for our food. The food was average- decent sized portions. The service pretty much sucked. The host who seated us didn't even wait for us to follow and was gone by the time we got to our table. Our server never offered water or additional hot chocolate, even though we were there for an hour. Also had to ask twice for the side of gravy that was originally ordered. Not too impressed.
Maybe someone should show the pictures of the food to the cooks a black bear diner at Jordan landing because my food didn't look like the picture shown my steak look like old broiled shoe leather and was just as tough the eggs were awful to

I love Black Bear Diner, but, NO NO NO!! I DO NOT WANT TO SIT AT THE BAR NEXT TO THE ORANGE JUICE MAKER just because I am eating alone!! Time to leave without ordering...

Worst service everdidn't like the food, it was cold and on a Thursday at 5 pm with only a handful of people seated, our order took 55 minutes!!! Our server spilled water on us, then disappeared. At minute 45 we finally got her attention to ask about our order she said something about shift change and incompetent kitchen workers. It wasn't until after we asked for crackers or something to eat did she go check on our order. We will never go back to this place again!!!!
