Had to wait 40 minutes to get my drink and be told my food order just got in. After we were done eating mediocre food, we had to wait another 20 minutes (after asking twice) to get the bill. Worst service ever.
They were almost empty when we got there and it took almost an hour before we got our food. Several items were woefully undercooked, while others met the usually high BB standards. We'll give them another chance sometime, but were pretty disappointed in our first visit.
If I could give no star I would. Worst people work there meaning they have no sense of being polite and I gave it 3 attempts to redeem itself. Worst place ever will not set foot in a Black Bear again as the Owners must be crap with the type of people they hire and the horrible fake food they serve. Just sayin.
I was so saddened by our experience here today. The wait at 10am was 20 minutes to be seated. The wait for a waitress was about the same. The wait for the food was at least 20 more minutes. No coffee refill, and no communication about the service. The food came, and unfortunately it was even worse than the customer service. Literally yeah maybe 2 months ago or so I got something it was 4 of us and it wasn't that full SO SLOW took us 1 HOUR so they could give us our food and NOT WORTH IT
Poor and extremely slow service. We had experienced the same on 2 other occasions, but because we enjoyed the food we would give it another chance. Only customers in the lobby, took more than 5 minutes to be seated. After 15 minutes, not even any water, our server passed our table 3 times without acknowledging us, we got up and left. Bummed about this, as we were pretty exited about this addition to Wilsonville, as we have had a pleasant experience at other locations.
Our ladies lunch bunch get together was excited to have a Black Bear Diner within range of all our homes so we planned a recent visit. We got there about 11:30 am and waited 10 minutes before we were acknowledged and seated. There were only a few people in the diner but there was only one server at that time. I've been a huuuge fan of Black Bear Diner all around the country, I literally sing "Black Bear Diner!!!" when I see one. I love the kitsch, I love the food and I usually love the service. I always tell my friends that BBD is a chain that gets it right. This morning, I was starving in Wilsonville when Yelp informed me that there was a BBD just minutes away! "I'm saved!" Stopped here for the first time with great expectations after looking at the menu.. WOW! Quite the opposite! Had to call the server back twice because he kept forgetting parts of our meal. Still served it missing the bread. And when we both got our meals, the steak was cooked terrible and my dish was burnt and they just covered it with gravy hoping I wouldn't notice?!
