Our hot water heater failed ona Friday night -they came out - got us back with hot water that evening. then replaced one of the heaters early the next week. then 2 weeks later before a big heat wave our air conditioner froze up. I had been having problems with that the last year and a previous provider said it was ok. Ben from Black Lion came out again on a Friday night and got us back in business after a careful step by step analysis. They did a really good job. They did a bit of design. They came to our attention from Angie's list. I would give them top marks. We are planning on using them to service our furnace.
I took advantage of the Angie's List special - $59 for a service that would cost $150. Our technician, Ben, was courteous, pleasantand professional. I watched him as he opened up the furnace to do the inspection and cleaning. He answered all my questions and made suggestions for proper maintenance and things to look out for.
The crew arrived on time and moved like clockwork. They had to remove in pieces our huge old furnace, install the new one, have the electrician do the electrical hook-up, and clean all the ducts in the house. The exit piping was installed neatly and was even painted a close approximation of our house color. They were very neat, polite, and attentive; and got the whole job done by 5pm. I would absolutely recommend the;m!

Ipurchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service and I love them. The guy who came out was great. He initially gave me a quote to fix our air conditioner which was going to be over $1,000 but when they did the service it was $400 less. They creditedthe $59 Big Deal price towards the final price. It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I bought one for the air conditioner and one for the furnace. Ben owns the thing and he was really good. He was very responsive. It took two days. He did a very nice job. I was very happy with what he did. He was really a nice guy and he knew what he was doing.
It went well. I just showed them where the furnace was and they did their thing; I wasn't there watching. It was in the basement so I was working upstairs so I couldn't see. One thing I know is that they had to change the filter, but they had to take other things too, which I don't what they were. I would say that maybe, if they don't want to remove their shoes, they should bring their shoe bags or they should take their shoes off because it's mostly carpet and they are difficult to clean. The estimator came out and gave us good information, we made a decision, we signed the contract one day and the unit was put in by noon, the next day. They were very quick, very responsive and very professional. They did have quite all the parts they needed, the first day, they came back the second day and did the last little bit.
