Ordered a key for our jetta at time of purchase, checked on order several times and were told it wasnt in. After several weeks we learned key had never been ordered. We were also told dealership would take care of a scratch....didnt happen, several weeks later we were told paint not in stock....could've been ordered but they didn't order any...we had to pay for it. Our family member bought a new car to later learn new car had hail damage... and are fighting with bachrodts to do the right thing.

I hated even the thought of looking for a new car. My husband was more anxious than I was about my new car. But, Bob was so helpful, honest and down to earth, it made the experience much less painful. I love my new car and would recommend Lou Bachrodt to anyone who is looking and is tired of the hassle.

Went in for the Credit Recovery program. The letter that was sent to me stated we were approved for $27,000 then when we got there they told me they would have to run my credit and so they could give me a better idea of the real amount they could loan me. They came back and told me I was approved for $20,000 we found truck and they let me take it home for the night. We do market research based on existing credit criteria, and estimate an approval. Everything is then sent to a lender for final approval. This sales person was rude and standoffish, they made an offensive remark when telling them I would return the following day to look at and purchase the vehicle.

I spoke with Nick only over the phone and he was so very rude! He brushed me off of the phone when I called, and was so disinterested in my issue that he took another call while on the phone with me and hung up rudely. I would not send my worst enemy to deal with this person and his condesending attitude.
Bob Christenson was fine to work with. Mitch Nelson was rude. I walked in pre-financed with a deal that had been made with Bob. Mitch can't figure out the GM/USAA rebate system and became rude. In the end I wasted 6 hours dealing with Lou Bachrodt. Went to Reichert Chevy in Woodstock, IL. Beat the Lou Bachrodt price by $1K on the same Chevy Sonic with more options. Gave me $500 more for my trade in. Reichert was also able to beat my banks interest rate by 4 points. Won't be back to Lou Bachrodt.
Man Ive been looking at 2500HD trucks and every time I look at their website their prices are so much more than the competition. I mean not even close, what they have on a base diesel I can go and buy a loaded truck for. Then you ask them to work on the price and they expect to make a fortune. It is sad to say that this is the local chevy dealership in Rockford.

Sometimes, a vehicle does sneak through and get posted prior to alignment, but the exception, not the rule. Pressure tactics, unreasonable sticker price and did not honor loyal customer rebate certificate. I went to look at a 2500HD they had on their website for 15000 less than what the sticker so i figured id check it out.
