I had bought two vehicles from BMW of North Haven and wanted a change for the next one. I have found the team at Watertown very friendly, honest and they do good work. They even pick up my car for service- 30 minutes away. I once complained that my wife's 2001 5 series had required two rounds of $1000 repairs over a 6 month period and I told the service manager that I was seriously thinking of dumping the car for a Japanese one. When I picked up the car there was a 20% discount- to $800- He said. " I could feel your pain." I... read more

"I've never had such a difficult time purchasing a..." I've never had such a difficult time purchasing a vehicle. My first trip in I dealt with Dennis Smith and it was great, we test drove it, I left a deposit on the spot and filled out the credit application online and was told everything was taken care of, we then made an appointment for the following week at 11am for delivery. He wrote it in big black letters right on the front page of my file. I show up at 11am, he has COMPLETELY forgotten about me. The vehicle is a gift... read more

"Terrible service experience with Walter Modeen and the..." Terrible service experience with Walter Modeen and the new service guy Jarrod. Walter Modeen lied to BMW NA and told them that they diagnosed a caliber issue on my vehicle previously which is why bmw failed to apply a goodwill credit to my repair. Also my car was damaged and they refused to send a correct date of check in and photos to my email.

"Very Limited ability to get BMW headquarters to help " I recently had my car serviced at the dealer and had an oil change, filters changed, rear brake pads replace and brake fluid flush. The service cost just under $1,000. Two driving days after having the service the engine failed due to an issue with the timing chain. The engine has to be replaced and would cost over $22,000 with tax. The 5 series car had a mileage of just over 159,000 miles and had all services performed on a timely basis since I purchased the car new in... read more

Car had damage on the hood, and dealer wouldn’t be straight forward with how it would be fixed. Only interested in what they want, and kept trying to avoid the timing and what they meant by fix. Not worth it if you can’t trust someone or get a straight answer. I can find someone else that wants to take my money for a $40k car. Frustrating overall experience with management team.

called from my car about a message on the dash . I was able to take the car to Watertown that afternoon, was given a loaner for the two days it took to correct the problem. When I picked up the car it turned out that the issue was a warranty item and covered completely! (I had spent $700 at another BMW service place in the preceding weeks and the issue was not resolved.)

We scheduled service at this dealership out of convenience. My wife dropped the car off for its 10,000 mile service and requested a tire rotation at the same time. It was explained to her that "BMWs don't need to have their tires rotated because it was an all wheel drive car. At that moment, my wife knew something was wrong. She questioned the tech about it and he tells her that BMW doesn't rotate tires. It left me in query because I have owned all wheel drive cars for a long time and have always rotated the tires unless the... read more

Business response:

Hello rcjm07, We apologize that there was any confusion about the regular maintenance you vehicle needs. I reached out to your Service Advisor, Howard Hafford, and he informed me the he spoke with you and your wife to explain that tire rotation is not part of regular maintenance as noted in the owner’s manual. However, our team completed the tire rotation on your vehicle at no charge as a courtesy and returned our vehicle to your wife’s place of business. We value you and all our customers so let us know anytime you have any... read more
