I was at the dealership for a flat tire and of did not have an appointment, first of all every one at the dealership behaves as though they are doing you a favour by attending your service needs on your car, they could not arrange a loaner as I failed to predict the timing of my FLAT TIRE and could not make an appoint for it in advance and I ended up waiting somewhere around 4 hours just to get a FLAT tire fixed and some regular service done, on talking to the service associate (which was only after I kept looking for him an... read more
I was at the dealership after making an appointment with the sales guy and after reaching there and talking to him, he kept me waiting saying that the car is being brought out for test drive and then he comes back and says, he cant find the car and then again later he comes back and says the car has been driven to one of there other locations just a few minutes ago and that I will have to come back again. The approach was so pushy and aggressive, I felt as if I had entered a highway Hyundai dealership. My request to "sleep on" the informaion presented before reaching my decision was met with more aggression and finally dismissal as if I was being scolded. I will go to Hunterdon BMW on the recommendation of a friend and BMW owner.
I purchased a preowned 545. The day I purchased the car I heard a very, very slight noise which appeared to be coming from the engine and questioned the salesman. He claimed the car was certified and in perfect condition and he insisted that he would "never lie to me during the muslim holiday Ramadan". If you leave your car here to get serviced and you take out a loaner I can almost guarantee you that the service advisor will call you back later saying they discovered something through their "complimentary thorough check of the whole vehicle" and suggest additional (often costly) repairs. When I came in to the dealership, the receptionist did not even bother asking me if I needed help. I had to ask her to get someone for me and she didn't look very enthusiastic about her job. She got me sales and he was helpful and let me test drive the 128i. As soon as he thought though that he wasn't going to make a quick sale, he handed me a brochure and told me to look at it and when I'm ready, to give him a call. WOW, that was cold!! We had issues with this place from the start. First my fiance called about a car he saw online. We live in Boston, so he had a lot of questions he wanted to ask before we drove all the way to NJ. The first guy he spoke to (I forget his name), never asked him his name or took his number or anything (obviously he doesn't know anything about sales). I do not trust the "recommended" work they have to do. Furthermore, I don't trust that the work was done properly or at all. I have been a customer there for almost a decade. Bottom line, I signed an invoice before they graciously took my money stating that XYZ was done. Nope! Broke down and had to pay a second mechanic to find that out. Shame on you Open Road. Tell all your friends and relatives NEVER to do business with them again.
I've been going to this dealership for a decade and the quality of service has taken a sharp nose-dive. So many "issues" seem to arise with my car whenever I take it in for servicing, that it's amazing I was able to drive the car there in the first place. I am distrustful of the "necessary work" I have been told my car has needed, and I usually end up taking the car back at least two more times AFTER servicing, b/c what was supposed to be "fixed" ended up still having bugs.
