I am having the worst experience at BMW Edison dealership. I have been sold a sold car on the first day. I spent 3 hours and paid upfront money to lease a car. I have been promised to get my car next day but I was told that it was a mistake that they sold a already sold car to me. They asked me to compromise on another car with different colors. Gave us great service until we agreed to buy car. Then told us to go to eat so they could prep paperwork, upon returning from lunch we were told to wait 5 minutes... 1 hour later upon threatening to leave we found ourselves in front of a rude finance manager who just then started to prep the paperwork. Salesman (Charles) blamed everyone except himself. They just simply give you a rip off price offer to start with, so you will never get a good price in the end. After you have purchased the car, you will then realize that half of the service department are rude and unfriendly. It is really not a very good experience to deal with this dealership. I have previously owned three other Bimmers and all purchased from the dealers in the North. I will never purchase my next BMW from this dealer again.
I brought my car to open BMW in Edison NJ on 11/26/14 to get the engine light fixed. They returned my car back on 12/11/14. I then took my car to motor vehicle for inspection on 12/13/14. The car failed because the check engine light and catalytic converter came back on. On 12/16/14 I took my car right back to Open Road BMW. So the offer from open road was For a new 428xi convertible AWD 2014 4229 down which is excluding your taxes and fee + 599 a month This model had limited upgrades and MSRP was 55,300 Finally bought 428xi convertible AWD 2014 with all upgrades and M package from another dealership 3000 down which is excluding your taxes and fee + 599 a month and MSRP was 63,635.00 One must look at 4-5 dealerships before making a final call, must see some dealers in NYC.
This was my first experience at this dealership and all I can say is that it will be my last. Unfortunately I found my perfect car at a far from perfect dealership. And let's not even talk about the set up here. It looks like something from a chop shop showroom. Seriously! Last Thursday I went for a routine servicing as the dashboard indicator showed that it was due. After waiting for 3 hours I was told that the service was conducted. The required service was to review the components visually and no fluids etc needed to be changed. On Friday just a day after the service, my car suddenly started flashing 'Service engine soon' signal. Moreover the car vibrates vigorously when you slow down or stop at a signal. I use love this dealership been coming here since 1996 until I had some bad experiences in 2011 wit the GM and the owner who my 1 week old 650 in for repairs for 3 months since they did not repair the car right that caused many more issues. Been going to flemington BMW for the past 2 years, w whole different experience The user reviews for open road are not being all listed here as there ratting is less then 2. I negotiated a lease deal on a new BMW 435ix with Daniel Umana who got the approval for a discount of 6% off MSRP from his manager. Since I am in Miami, FL, and apparently Edison BMW in NJ doesn't fedex legal documents, we agreed that we charge the COD on my credit card ($3,000) and we sign the paperwork when we pick up the car during Thanksgiving week. Before making any pre-conceived conclusions, Kosta took the time to review the email correspondence between myself and the sales rep.
