I own a 2007 328 XI BMW. I purchased my vehicle brand new from Open Road BMW of Edison, NJ. I've been having problems with the customer service as well as the services rendered on my vehicle. About 4 months ago (March 2013), I was experiencing problems with my vehicle (wouldn't start, no electrical power, etc). I called into BMW of Edison, and was told to have my vehicle towed in. Took me with my child to pick up my purchased vehicle in a car that had no gas and left me stranded on the side of the road for over 45 minutes with my child. Sales Manager completely unapologetic and rude. Pushed us to the side. Please avoid this dealership by all means, the worst customer service i have ever experienced by any place of business!!
I was an existing BMW owner and I had purchased my first BMW from this location. When my lease was about to expire, I decided to re-visit the location that I purchased my first BMW hoping that I can get a better deal considering that I have been a loyal BMW customer. Unfortunately, I feel that I need to post this after having two negative experiences with Edison Open Road BMW. There appears to be a recurring theme where the quoted work differs then the final bill which contains items (usually parts) that were not disclosed upfront and they typically are substantial in cost. Had items stolen from my car that they won't refund because they claim it was my fault for leaving a cell phone clip and bottle of cologne in my car. They charged my credit card for repair work without verifying with me or giving me a chance to have the person who cause the damage repair it. Overall the sales call was fine. I had arranged an appointment on-line dealing with a very nice woman named Amber. I made arrangements to go in to look at the new BMW 3 Series. I was a bit taken aback when I found that I wouldn't be dealing with the nice woman on the phone but rather with a different sales person. MY SALES PERSON DID ATTEMPT TO MAKE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE AND WORK WITH ME.I WOULDN'T MIND DOING BUSINESS WITH HIM AGAIN. MR.GOLDGERG ON THE OTHER HAND BECAME UPSET WITH MY SALES PERSON. HE SHOULD HAVE SPOKEN TO HIM IN PRIVATE. I had an fairly good experience at Open Road BMW, but two things are keeping me from writing a rave review of this dealership. First, the Certified X3 I was buying had been in an accident, but that information was not disclosed. I was told that the back bumper had been painted, that there "may have been a scratch, or something". While I was signing the finance paperwork I was shown a carfax report and noticed the accident information. The lease is over; Thank god ! Never had major problems for over 30 years, then I lease a BMW; Open Road BMW: the worst phone system(had to hold for over 20 min), then they were nasty, I always had to wait a very long time, come back because they didn't correct the problem.
