We enjoyed New Year's here. In fact, I would say that this was a better place to go than the Roof Terrace Restaurant was last year. For regular dining, the menu is certainly overpriced for what you get. Between my date and I, we spend about $70 each with a 20% gratuity. However, that is probably much less for a comparable New Year's experience at restaurants in town. We selected the restaurant based on their menu posted on the Internet. In a family of picky eaters, it is sometimes tough to find a place that will suit everyone. This was a perfect fit from the Fravioli appetizer to the chocolate chip cookies.
Steaks were very good, but I have had better at other area steakhouses. Lamb shank was fantastic; meaty, flavorful and tender. Fried artichokes are a good concept, but too many tough outer leaves remain. Parmesan potatoes are lovely; crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, with wonderful flavor.
Food was excellent, service was good. Read some negitive reviews, but those issues were not evident in our dining experience. The staff was attentive, but not overbraring. We asked for a table witha view of the harbor and they were able to give me a great table with the view we asked for. We will be back again.
PRICEY BUT THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT AND THERE WAS A GOOD CHOICE OF WINES. THE STAFF WAS ATTENTIVE YET NOT HOVERING. EVERYONE WAS WAS SINCERELY FRIENDLY AND SEEMED TO ENJOY WHAT THEY WERE DOING. EVERYTHING IS A'LACARTE, PORTIONS WERE FAIRLY LARGE.
Food - (B-). My wife and I both ordered the ribeyes (mine-medium; hers-medium well). We understand that most steaks are not palatable beyond "medium". My steak was very good, well aged and seasoned. My wife's steak was tough. {We have ordered similar steaks at the competitor steakhouses- Old Hick., Ruths, Mortons, and the "medium-well" has been perfect.} Sides- We ordered the polenta (BLAH) and the fried artichokes (surprisingly, very tasty). My husband and I had a great time at Bond 45 on Christmas Day. The food was wonderful and the service was top notch. The burrata appetizer reminded us of our honeymoon in Italy... highly recommend it! It's definitely expensive, but a great place for a special occasion.
This restaurant has it all! From the wonderful and friendly staff to the outstanding food, dining at Bond 45 is an all around treat! The restaurant itself has a rustic ambiance and a beautiful view of the Water, and last but certainly not least, the prosciutto and mozzarella bars are a delicious bonus as well!
Excellent resturant. I love the ambiance, service and food that why I would grade this resturant A+. The resturant is sitting on an excellent location by overlooking the water front. We look forward dining again in the near future. Happy New Year's!
