This was an awful dining experience. It took the restaurant 45 minutes to seat us even with our reservation. The free drink wasn't enough to make me forget. Dinner was slow and the food was mediocre - three of us had items over cooked, one's dinner was under cooked, my mac and cheese side arrived after I was done eating and was watery. We still weren't done at 11:15 pm considering our reservation was for 8:30. I will never ever come back.
My recent return to Bond 45 left a lot to be desired... changed menu (and not for the better), a long wait even with a reservation, poor front desk service, and definitely a change in the ambiance. While I will not go back for dinner, Bond 45 is relegated to simply a bar and appetizer spot.
Disappointed. WE had to send both entries back. Mine under cooked. My wife's was over cooked. The filet came back sliced, dry and tough. Both steaks lacked flavor.
My husband and I have been dining at Bond 45 for over 2 years. This was our favorite spot. We always Prior to our last encounter, we noticed a drastic change in the staff. We spoke to the manager and expressed our concerns and she assured us that she came back from New York to bring Bond 45 to the superb restaurant that it was in the past. For our 25th wedding anniversary meal, it had a lot to be desired. Although the portions were good, the overall quality was lacking. The lasagna was dried and for lasagna, there was very little cheese. The salmon was on the dry side and the caramelized brussel sprouts were not cook enough. My wife and I joked that we could have had prepared a better meal at our house. And what's the purpose of asking for the occasion as to why we chose Bond 45 if it wasn't recognized. AC was broken; did not have artichokes in stock for appetizers as stated on menu; drinks were late with melted ice. An experience disaster. Steak was excellent.
Great atmosphere but a big (very big) disappointment regarding the quality of the food. One entree was a burned crab steak and needed to be returned to the kitchen while the other was a very unappetizing slab of overly crusted veal. Yuck! Very energetic noise level that made normal conversation nearly impossible. For the prices of the food, the quality was very very disappointing.
My second encounter, I took my husband for Father's Day. The service was not good. The waitress was overwelmed and running behind. It took forever to order. I will try it again but not on a special occasion.
We went for our anniversary hoping to make it a memorable time. The service was so, so but very slow. The food was awful! I wrote to the head of the company about our experience and never heard anything back from them. I won't be returning and I urged you not to go as well!
