Found food in hair; the manager was not very helpful and accused us of lying.
We went a few years ago and it was excellent. Since then they have changed the menu from the one posted on line. It was awful. Pretty sure the Bloody Mary had no vodka it definitely had no taste. The crab egg Benedict had a bit of crab under the ham. Odd. The omlette was over cooked and brown. The bread was cold and boring. The service was terrible from the time the bartender interrupted her conversation to order us to wait for someone to come. The check in station was behind a wall. Awful
I was expecting a little better than what we experience. Celebrating my friend birthday I decided to bring him here. He ordered the seafood spaghetti... more pasta than seafood and bland. I ordered the Crab Ravioli... nothing to brag about and very small portion. Plus side real crab meat. We were disappointed. Appetizer (meatballs) and salad were good, but my husband's bone in filet was supposed to be cooked to medium. The non-bone side was over cooked and next to the bone was practically raw and cold. My linguine and clams were good, but nothing special. Beautiful cakes, but nothing special taste-wise.....
Our experience was odd. The food and service by the waitstaff and host were good and we were enjoying ourselves but we started to feel awkward by the end of the meal. The manager visited many of the tables, including those on either side of us, multiple times to inquire about their meal, bring complimentary cookies and drinks, etc. He did not stop at our table once, even to say hi or ask how the food was, despite regularly standing right next to us at the tables on either side throughout our meal.
This used to be my boyfriend's and my special place. Every special event that came up, we made a beeline over for the great steak and attentive service. Then we came in for his birthday on Monday night, and the host, rather than greeting us, atteneded to a group of 10+ people who walked up in front of us to get their coats. ME & MY FAMILY WENT ON CHRISTMAS DAY, ANTICIPATING A WONDERFUL DINNER. WE TRAVELED 90 MINUTES THERE, ONCE WE GOT THERE THE TRAFFIC IN THE AREA WAS TERRIBLE, WE WERE ABOUT 20-30 ADDITIONAL MINUTES JUST GOING AROUND THE BLOCK. THEY WERE OUT OF MULTIPLE ITEMS & HALF OF US WERE GETTING THE ITEMS THEY DIDN'T HAVE (LOBSTER & 3 DIFFERENT CUTS OF STEAK). The waiter was named German. He was terrible. We complained to the front desk but they don't care. Her dinner was cold pasta with ragu sauce and clams the size of your finger nail for $34.00 In fairness to them I liked mine but the portion was small. We will never go back.
This was the worst brunch we have ever had. As huge fans of Bond 45 and having had countless wonderful dinners there we were so excited to take the whole family there for brunch. The service was terrible - four out of eight meals had to go back - the food was stunningly average- the plates were stone cold and so was the food - the restaurant was empty - it was like they were not expecting to actually have to serve brunch even though we had a reservation.
