I took my boyfriend here for his birthday after reading some pretty nice reviews about it. The service was impeccable. We ordered some veal dish and I think a steak. The steak was decent. The veal was not so great. It tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for days and had some cheese slapped on top. I wouldn't recommend the veal at all. Great service, mediocre food - but best of the National Harbor selection outside the Gaylord Hotel.
We have seen a decline in the quality of food at Bond45 since our last visit--unfortunately, the prices have increased. Most disappointing was dessert. The gelato was old and had ice crystals throughout. The chocolate mousse was gummy and cloyingly sweet. Overall, not the level of dining experience one would expect for the prices.
Found the menu to be very limited and very expensive. There are no pasta dishes on the menu. If you want steak or veal chop I think it is good but overpriced. I would not go back.
What an incredible waste of money!!! My $50 steak was dry and chewy. My husband's steak was seared until burnt. It was LOUSY!!!
Food was ok, but not worth the expense - service was strange - had at least 5 'server'-type people wandering back & forth from the table. We were told about the soup du jour three different times by three different people, and each time the soup was called something else!
We had a party of 6. They sat out in the sunroom area. Way to hot. We complained several times that it was too hot and no response. The unresponsiveness is what will keep us from going back. Old Hickory Steakhouse here we come.
If you want good service for a place that charges these kind of prices, I would go somewhere else. The food was good--not great, but overall, if the service has been a lot better, the whole experience would have been a lot better. The server never introduced himself, made us feel like we were inadequate for asking questions on the menu and never tried to upsell. In fact, my steak was the only thing on the plate. Just not making the grade. Atmosphere lacking and the bar must have had a rookie trying to mix drinks. Terrible bar made average food look better. One and done for us.
