The food was well over priced, especially for its quality. One of our appetizers, the mozzarella (about $14) came with three small slices of tomatoes ($6). We had to als for olive oil and balsamic. Steaks were priced over the top and not all that appetizing. I had the cheapest entree in our group of five, the veal chop ($31), and it was seasoned well and moist. Would rather send the restaurant a private note instead of posting a not so favorable review. Have eaten here and was satisfied but not this time.
My wife and I live locally and wanted to try Bond 45 for some time. We went on a quiet Tuesday evening. The host was polite and we had a nice table outside per our request. It was downhill after that. We ordered drinks (wine for my wife and a martini for me). That took ten minutes. I really wanted to like our waiter but it became quickly apparent he would make up answers to questions to which he did not know the answer. My ceasar salad was poor. I took my sister to Bond 45 for her graduation with some friends. Nobody liked their food and I spent just for myself $70 for a meal that I did not enjoy at all. Needless to say I will never be going back. Our waitress was very nice and so was everyone else, but I'd prefer bad service and good food than bad food and good service.
Very poor customer service. Were told by server that we could not have anchovies with our caesar salads as the restaurant didn't have them, but that they were in the salad dressing; would not provide us with crackers or crostini with a $30 cheese plate and when asked to take the meat out of half a lobster so it could be taken home, we were told that the restaurant would provide a box for carry out, but would not extract the lobster meat for us. Was not a very busy night but waited to be seated for about 15minutes. After being seated it took another 15minutes for someone to come to the table and greet us or bring water. Service was slow and the food was not worth very good. Just mediocre. A lot of food was wasted. Very disappointing. It took a while before the host showed up to seat us. His manner was rather brusque. We were there for Easter and the place wasn't busy and yet service was spotty. Servers would appear between long intervals and they don't seem to communicate with each other. It took a while before food was delivered to our table and there was a long lull between appetizers and entree. They kept refilling our glass with warm water. Even the request for our check was a long wait. Overrated, poor service, unremarkable food
After making reservations on OpenTable.com I was very disappointed to be seated an hour after the set reservation.
