We were interested in an apartment at 784 Cherry Street and received a lease. There was an addition to the lease saying that they could call on us to pay property taxes whenever they wanted. Understandably, we had gripes with this and contacted them to change it. This is where we had our biggest problem. Nothing but an awful experience with boutique 1. After one year they wanted to raise my rent (by more than $300/month!!), but said i could move into a different unit in the building with no added fees. SIX MONTHS after switching units I suddenly owed them a new deposit and new application fee, despite written confirmation of the opposite. 2. Nothing in my apartment was ever repaired. Terrible company and poorly ran. Very unorganized, and will not get back to you or return your calls. Also will try and look for reasons to make misc. charges to your account or monthly rent.
Avoid this property group. There have been several on going service issues. The issues are rarely fixed and never in a timely manner. The maintenance people are by far the worst I've ever encountered. The apartments are overpriced and broken down. Go elsewhere.

Save your time and your money!!! Please stay away from Boutique/Wheelhouse or you will regret it like everyone else. Friendly staff upfront, until you sign your lease, then good luck with them returning phone calls, fixing maintenance problems. For the sake of your sanity... GO somewhere else! Anywhere else. The management is absolutely terrible, halls smell of dog urine and feces. I was warned by others who had lived at these apartments but I didn't heed their warning. I will now forever read reviews about apartments before I decide to sign a lease.

Boutique Apartments might have one of the most unorganized and slack front/leasing offices I have ever dealt with... The average response time for a call back is anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. I've made numerous calls asking for either something to be fixed in the building or to have something fixed that was wrong on the leasing end financially wise. Do not rent an apartment with Boutique or Wheelhouse!!!! They will not call you back, they will not return your emails. Maintenance sucks so don't expect to have a clean building to live in. They never empty the dog trash receptacle outside the front, and they leave broken sprinklers on 24/7 and YOU the tenant have to pay the outrageous water bill!!! So when I finally had some grip and a decent job in Denver a few years ago, I fled my shitty one bedroom apartment, owned by Wheelhouse Apartments (the same company as Boutique), and moved into a one bedroom apartment at the Concept on Albion. Although it was on the upper-end of the price range at the time (900 + utilities included), It was independently owned and was awesome.
