Still waiting on my air conditioning to be fixed 2 weeks after making a maintenance request with no call backs from anyone at boutique. Maybe this way someone will actually contact me. Emerson Lofts, DONT live here. The management girls at the office are rude, misinformed and lazy. I bet it won't be funny when the pipes freeze in my 61 degree apartment and 18 degree outside because it wasn't funny when it was blowing out hot air, with no breeze and an apartment that hit 82 despite all of the windows being open.
They refuse to do anything to stop package thieves and it is a huge hassle. I am so sick of dealing with lost packages, and I don't understand why they can't have basic measures to prevent it. You will not have functional mail service.

I believe that many Section 8 high crime and downtrodden apartments get better votes than these properties do. Mike the area manager also contacted me to threaten legal action against me for making complaints for obvious discrimination on their behalf and Yelp reviews. They can't even afford a real attorney they have to go through Tschetter Hamrick and Sulzer who are EVICTION attorneys. Slum-living. Don't fall for it. It's not a cool place to live--it's a dingy facade with pests, unreliable plumbing, and cheap, deteriorating units. You have so many other options--run away from Boutique. Besides the admin issues that come along with leasing, with Boutique you also have the daily elements of incompetence, of low quality units and fixtures from about 1995 (fixed only after multiple pleas over weeks, and only ever with old glue), and active disdain for residents. This review applies to the Detroit Terraces at 1530 Detroit Street. The apartments are nice with fine amenities (community room and gym). However I have two substantial complaints. First, there is a nearly constant present of homeless people sleeping and hanging out in the rear parking lot. It's extremely uncomfortable and loud if you rent at the back of the building. It is my understanding that your building has individual PTAC heaters and coolers for each apartment and there is not a shared heating system. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Boutique apartments has wonderful location and an ambiance that draws you in! Don't let it fool you. The contractual agreement (meaning 66 pg. lease ) you'll be entering is ridiculous to say the least. I would only sign it if it was the last resort. They prey on those that don't understand the business agreement they're entering into. The worst part though??.. the staff. from move in to after move out we had problems. the first time we unlocked our apartment it hadn't been cleaned. del prado is not a pet/smoke free building as stated. there are dogs, cats, and smokers on every floor. building rules will not be enforced, and you will often be told to call the police instead of the landlords maintaining control of their building. i could go on, and on, and on. now three months after moving out we finally got the rest of our deposit check! Recently BA took over my building's management. Since they have I have nothing but complaints. From the moment they took over garbage has not been properly taken care of leaving the designated area disgusting. There was one point when trash hadn't got picked up for over two weeks. The dump still needs to be emptied more than it is. I had my car stolen from the 'secure' parking lot. Their automated residents portal is a joke. This management company gave my old roommate the entire security deposit and then refused to give tell me where they mailed the check so now I'm having to hire private investigator to find the old roommate that ran. Not recommended
