I love this place! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The food is really good and plentiful. I usually share a sandwich for lunch. All the options are delicious. It’s the perfect place to go before theatre. You can be in and out quickly or take your time, as you please.
Night out with family. Wonderful experience. Our waiter, Keith, was outstanding and made our evening in NYC all the more enjoyable!
Great pastrami sandwich and an awesome diner feel. Kids loved it too and the waiter helped us order for them to not spend a fortune.
This was our first time dining at Brooklyn Diner which we picked specifically because of their turkey dinner plate. We got there in advance of our reservation and even though it was crowded we were seated early. Our server was spectacular! He was great at accommodating our kids despite the lack of available kids menus and made the best Shirley Temples. We’re keeping this place in mind for our next trip to NYC.
Thanksgiving dinner. Divine, but the best of our meals was not the Thanksgiving Turkey plate, but the pot pie. Yum!
There is much that is positive. The hostess and our server were both friendly and accommodating. We did not feel rushed. Although it was crowded, the noise level allowed for conversation. The prices are on the high side, but this is the theater district. On the other hand, this is a restaurant and the food should be good. Nothing we ordered was good. Nothing was bad either, except for the mashed sweet potatoes. Everything was fair. That was disappointing.
A great meal before our broadway show! Portions are huge- plan to share.
The space is old, dirty and dingy and small. The food is great. This is not representative of the other Shelley Fireman restaurants
I can't imagine why, but I had never eaten here before. It's a quirky, comfortable place in a perfect location. We started with some really good guacamole, and then moved on to burgers and pastrami. All tasty. The reasonably-priced bottle of wine we ordered was just right. Give it a try! You'll like it!
