Two Stars Too much noise after it finishes printing.
I have had nothing but problems. Brother is now ... I have had nothing but problems. Brother is now sending me my fourth machine. The machine gears are very noisy and it is not connecting properly. I have a choice of bringing it to a repair center (that means two trips-back and forth) or send me another machine. This has become a nightmare.

It prints fast, but only comes with a black ink. I've not yet been able to try out the faxing feature out of lack of necessity.

She brightened-lightened and sent it back -- it was perfect. Fast is great There are pros and cons to this machine. Pros: Prints, scans, copies very quickly. (I didn't use the fax; have a different machine for faxing.) Cons: (1) No paper tray. While busy working and printing more than 3 pages -- you'll find them come out of the printer to be all over the floor and out of order. It prints well, copies well but the scanner doesn't ... It prints well, copies well but the scanner doesn't work. I haven't called the manufacturer yet about the concern but hope they can help me solve that problem soon.
This copier was to serve as back up in my ... This copier was to serve as back up in my classroom when I needed it. However, it puts out an awful smell, uses an obscene amount of toner no matter what settings are used, and randomly emits the fax beep when I'm away from my desk. My past experience with Brother products led me to make this purchase, but this machine does not live up to my expectations or the advertising. I wouldn't buy this again.
No Stars...Piece of ****! Hate it! Constantly jams. Cant print more than 1 item at a time! Scans and Copies well!
great for 1.5 years until the scan unit failed Purchased May 2013. In October 2014 I get an error message of 'scan unable' and there is a loud noise that seems to be from the scanner motor driving the scan head to the limit during initialization. Unfortunately it seems the scan unit needs to be replaced and, though I haven't priced it, I'm guessing it will be cheaper to just buy a new printer. The unit will still print, but it will not scan/copy.
