BRU Burger used to be one of our favorite places to go before a show at the Aronoff. Last night was our first night back since Covid shut down performances. I will say we were sadly disappointed. It didn't taste the same. Burger wasn't as good, fries were dry. The floor had a weird greasiness to it. Thought I was going to slip while walking. My husband and I had a reservation made through Opentable for tonight. We went in and were told by the hostess she did not see a reservation in our name. I showed her my confirmation on Opentable on my phone. She gave no apology or explanation and told another worker to seat us at a table. Rather rude in my opinion and a simple “sorry for the confusion” would have sufficed. We were sat at a table, given no menus and sat and sat and sat while multiple servers walked by. We didn’t have our drinks when our food arrived and our food was cold.
We were disappointed that there were no sweeter wines available on the menu.
Absolutely horrible!!!! Service was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! One of us ordered a drink from the bar. Server never delivered it and she had to get up and find the bartender to get it. Then we asked for 1 paper menu never brought it. Ordered our food. Two of us were going to share the onion rings but when food was delivered I decided to place an order for myself.
