Proudly occupying the space of the former Greyhound Depot, BRU Burger Bar Evansville is the fifth BRU location for Cunningham Restaurant Group. Bru is an ode to our love... the Burger. It’s a classic, purely American, and an icon. The hamburger is the people’s sandwich, everyman’s food. Paired with a beer, we can't imagine what could be much better. Our goal is to bring you great burgers made from the best local meats, topped with the freshest ingredients and placed in our freshly baked buns.

The building and decor is nice. But I thought the food was a little over-hyped for what it is. The onion rings were over done, it had what tasted like marinara sauce as "ketchup" (don't be fancy, just give us some Heinz) and my husband, who ordered the Bru Burger, didn't care for the cheese they used. Honestly, that cheese made our whole area smell like old feet. The waiter was fine and kept our drinks filled. My burger, the one with pork and bacon on it, was pretty yummy. I think it's a little over priced and I relate that to the burger I had. I've had a lot better and cheaper... Our waitress kinda forgot us once the meal was served. Not good! I wasn't impressed enough to go back. Beautiful building so happy it has been restored.

When you stand at the hostess table and she looks at you three times and then says can I help you. You sit at the bar you wait for the bartender she eventually ask if she can get you a drink. You look at the menu you put it down you watch the bartender clean glasses, wait on other people and then eventually says are you ready to order?
