New dehumidifier works beautifully, made basement smell fresh (no basement smell at all) within 24 hours. My previous dehumidifier was failing and too small to begin with. The only problem I had was with the condensate pump which shorted if there was a power surge and caused system to stop. By connecting that to a power surge stripI had no further problem.
