My mother and step mother ordered a filet mignon with caprese salad. When they brought the food, it was a filet mignon with potato. When I've asked for the salad the waitress sad that they din't have the salad. I've asked for a salad and they act like they where doing a favor for me. So rude. And that's it. They brought them some green salad, I've asked for some vegetable, and the waitress said I could order a salad from the menu. That's it, a big mistake combine with a rude solution.
this was certainly a disappointment with service and food.
Had a late lunch and not crowded, so there was no excuse for the terrible service. The wait for food was ridiculous. Our meal, while good, was way over-priced. Too many other places to choose next time.
The head waiter could not find my reservation. When he did find it, he tried to seat me with a single because he did not realize I was a party of two. I had reserved a booth and he told me none were available. Except there was no table available so he gave us a booth that was available. The food is good but the ambiance is hectic. You can't stand in the aisle to put your coat on because the waiters are running hither and yon. I told him we had a reservation with open table, but it was too hectic for him to remember.
I'm not sure what happened to this restaurant. About 10 years ago, it was my old standby -- somewhere I'd go at least once a week. Since then, I moved neighborhoods and don't frequent as often. My last visit was a real disappointment: a room chock full of loud, impolite tourists; inattentive, cold service; and unfortunately subpar -- and very expensive, considering! -- food. It's convenient for a pre- or post-theater bite. Otherwise, I'd choose somewhere else. For the price, you can do much, much better -- in service, food a... read more
The food is good but the service was very poor. Apperantly our order (party of five) was "forgotten" so the neighbour table (also party of five), who arrived after us, were served before. If you intend to take a dinner preceeding your MET opera there are high riscs you arrive late at the MET which is on the opposite side of the square. We had booked and arrived at time for 5:30 p.m. and were not finished with the dinner before 7:20 p.m.
Very different then last year......I could swear it has different ownership.....but they say no. Just not the same.....their signature appetizer bar more expensive with less choices and very small portions. I will not go back.
Over-priced food that was slightly above average, but not spectacular. Very crowded, and noisy. Tables are very close together also, so if you're looking for privacy, this is not the place. Great service.
Noise level reaches a deafening 100 + db with staff members contributing to the din. The kitchen used to make it "almost" worth it, but no more. And while the prices suggest an exclusive dining experience, (like Picholine around the corner) this 'little Flower' has wilted.
