When the server is telling the busser to relax, you know you in the wrong restaurant. The server wasn't on top of his station. The busser was not greeted with a team work attitude from the server. We were not being seen or served, even once we finally placed out order.

Incredibly incompetent, I've been there before and it was nice... this time it was like a dog and pony show.

Lasagna at Cafe Fiorello is not what I expected. Instead of the usual homemade lasagna portion, flat noodles in several layers separating layers of meat, sauce and cheese, a lasagna was presented that resembled a pizza. A single layer of lasagna noodles covered with sauce, mini meatballs and cheese. The chef folded the about two inches of the ends of the noodles around the lasagna before baking it in the oven. Unfortunately, the noodles not covered with sauce were dry and not edible. Recommendation, you do not order lasagna ... read more

This restaurant is all about location - being across the street from Lincoln Center. If you dine here expect to be squeezed in - cheek to jowl with other diners Portions of house specialty appetizers (large fried ravioli and fried artichokes) were generous and fairly good Entrees were less so. Lamb chops came cooked very differently than ordered (rare versus medium) Osso buco was marred by an acidy vegetable mélange and a gloppy risotto A side of spinach was completely devoid of taste - but a side of Brussels sprouts - with ... read more

I have been going here for years pre-Lincoln Center for their three veggie 2 seafood antipasto dinner- it is the healthiest thing to eat in the neighborhood and always yummy- BUT THEY DISCONTINUED THE SEAFOOD PART! Now it is not enough for dinner but too much for an appetizer. Won't go back unless they reinstate!

My favorite thing about Cafe Fiorello is the main dining room and its ambience. So when I make a reservation and ask to be seated in the main dining room I dont expect to be told no which is what happened on my latest trip there. There were empty tables and I asked to be seated in the main dining room and was told by the Maitr'd that they were full. I MADE A RESERVATION! Very poor customer service. We were seated by the window and everytime the door opened it was a cold blast of air. At one point the door was left open for q... read more

Expensive? This goes without saying; it's NYC. But still, you expect good food. The fish was overdone and the pasta (Italian restaurant??) was bland and too cheesy. Wine prices are outrageous, so much so that we did not order any.

Food doesn't justify the prices. There are better pre-Lincoln Center places to go with better food and a lot more value.

Open lasagna looked great but was tasteless. Very overpriced at $32.If you order it, share it.
