When one of the antipasto we ordered was not available and we groaned and made another choice, the waiter brought us a free sample when it became available, even though we had received our plates. it was a lovely gesture and much appreciated.
Food was acceptable, prices were not. If this place were not near Lincoln Center it would be out of business.
Mid afternoon. Most people outside in the cafe. Front/bar section (where we were) all but empty. 25 minutes to serve two salads...during which we saw the waiter only once, serving wine to another table. Meager salads at $25 & $32. A mound of chopped lettuce in the center of each plate. The tiniest bit of vegetable. Shredded chicken or crabmeat sufficient to something over 1/4 cup. Barely wet. Tasteless. Don't go for lunch unless eating the pizza. Service inexplicable.
This used to be a reasonable choice, pre-performance at Lincoln Center. No longer. And the food is not extraordinary, merely good. I will not return.
used to be my favorite on annual trip to NY. this time food was tasteless and mostly unattractive. I love the ambiance but was embarrassed to have 4 guests with such poor food.
huge portions, unnecessary in today's world, over seasoning some plates with garlic which could have gone without entirely. they are used to the frantic get in and out to go to Lincoln center. the simpler the food the better here. there are many other choices in the area.
I have been going to Fiorello's for almost as many years as this venerable Lincoln Center restaurant has been in existence. I have always found the food to be reliable, sometimes better than that, a good bet in a variable neighborhood. This time around, the food was second rate. The antipasto plate (which has has gotten consistently smaller and overpriced) was pretty awful. Miniscule portions of tasteless veggies. How small? The four tiny olives on the plate looked as plentiful as any of the offerings. Entrees were barely mo... read more
Overs: Over priced Over packed Unders: Under staffed Under estimated pre-show crowd Food was expensive and not great. Sat shoulder to shoulder with the next table. It may as well be one large community table. Waiter was great and apologetic but service was slow as the entire restaurant filled up at the same time due to Lincoln Center schedule. Convenient location but would not return.
Had the hot shrimp and scallop antipasto appetizer, which was delicious. My dining partner had the lobster carbonara as an entree, which was good. The overall taste and the cream sauce were great, but the lobster was very chewy. I had the seafood risotto, which was a) expensive and b) pretty gross. The sauce was bland, the lobster chewy, and I could have sworn the rice itself wasn't even risotto rice. To the manager's credit, he noticed that I did not enjoy my meal, and provided us with free dessert. That is not to say he of... read more
