My friends and I made a reservation for lunch thinking we would get their extensive pix fixe. I even called a couple of weeks before and had the hostess explain it to me because it seemed too good to be true. Well, it was. When we got to the restaurant we were informed that they changed the prix fixe and now it was very limited. We were all disappointed and unhappy with the choices. The waitress was not accommodating even after I explained how I had phoned in advance. We ordered off the regular menu but I don't think we will... read more

I had very low expectations on Cafe Fiorello. The location, menu, and silly prices clearly states that this is a tourist spot. And so my expectations were low. Very low. Remarkably, CF was able to surprise me on the downside. My tired Italian waiter was roaming the patio looking to turnover table's at the speed of a dollar in a teenage girls wallet at H&M. I ordered a starter and $33 Pasta and crossed my fingers that it would be eatable. 2 Minutes after I placed the order my Italian waiter dished out the starter. I mean two ... read more

I used to eat at Fiorello's 2 times a week. Thanks to rising prices and irritating service, I go somewhere else 2 times a week.

We eat here occasionally before going to Lincoln Center. The food ranges from good to excellent (the artichokes and the duck are favorites). The problem is that when you tell a server on your arrival (1.5 hours before a performance) that you have a set curtain time, you expect your courses to arrive at a reasonable pace and not have the main course thrown at you nearly an hour after you ordered it. Next time we'll eat the pizza (also very good). Recommend eating here at other than peak hours.

Fiorello has been one of our favorite restaurants in the Lincoln Center area since it's opening. We were last there in the fall, since we're out of the area in the winter. On this visit we found that their prices had escalated to a level which may preclude our returning. For example, we've always enjoyed their vegetable antipasto, which I believe offerred 7 vegetables for about $28. Now they offered 3 vegetables for (I believe) $21 and additional vegetables for $7 each. While my wife did have a vegetable antipasto, I had the... read more

I have been to & liked this restaurant many times, but this last experience is causing me to rethink. We arrived at noon. The restaurant was already busy before theater & ballet performances. We were seated promptly at a very desirable table & greeted by a very friendly waiter. But things quickly fell apart. We ordered & sat for 45 minutes with only bread & water. When the food finally arrived, my soup was cold & my friend's tuna burger was well done & dry, despite having asked for it cooked very rare. We sent back the meals... read more

We had dinner before a Lincoln Center event on a Saturday night. It was very busy, but our table was ready when we arrived. The food is pricey. The artichoke appetizer was good. We ordered salmon (medium rare) and their signature Lasagna. The salmon came out well done- the waiter took it back, but then we had to wait 10 minutes for the new dish to arrive. When it finally arrived, it was nothing special. Would recommend that if you go to the restaurant, don't go on a Saturday night and order the lasagna; it was very good and ... read more
