I recently purchased a 2010 Tundra. When asked how I wished to finance the vehicle I told my salesperson I am a member of Desert Schools Credit Union and I want to finance it through them. When I sat down with the finance person he told me he had gone through Toyota Financial Services. at a rate that was equal or better than Desert Schools'. After several hours of neogiations I was quoted a price but was charged a higher price on the contract and wasn't told about the price increase!! Shady and underhanded sells techniques, and when contacted about the issue gave me the run around and didn't resolve the issue! Be carefull if you decided to buy from them!!
the only good thing about this dealership is Keith Darden, the sales person who greeted me since the first time and helped me thru the process. he has done a great job by making me feel comfortable with a sales person coz usually a sales person annoys me so much. Sales was great. Management was great. The department who completes paperwork and sells the extended warranties, was VERY bad. A complete scam. Everything they promised was NOT delivered. When I asked for it in writing, they said it would be mailed to me. It wasn't. I was an idiot for leaving without having in writing. I should have known I was being scammed when the guy produced a part that costs $2,500 that would be covered with the extended warranty.
On December 28th we applied online for a vehicle, we were told by Cory that the credit scores were good, he would submit app to bank for $22,000, on Dec 29th the app came back approved but we had a trade in. On Dec 29th I was told to clarify an issue with the vehicle we were trading in, and I did. When i bought my car through them i had a really hard time, they never called me like they said they were going to, i always had to call them. It took me three trips to get things fixed that were supposed to be. Finally when i bought my car, i thought the suspension was a little rough, made a comment about it, a year later I noticed the tires getting worn so i took it into the place i get it serviced, also decided to get the struts checked and they are really bad. On sunday, 10/11/2009, I called Camelback Toyota's Fleet Sales Department and spoke to Dennis, a Fleet Sales Manager. We saw an add for a 2007 Honda Civic that was a great deal. When we saw the car, there were lots of dents on the side that was not shown in the pictured add. The carfax report on it came back clean and the sales people said they would do their best to fix the dents should we bye the car. We bought the car and they said they would gas it up for us and replace the wiper blades before we left.
